From V8 to the GWM ONE S Platform: GWM Engages the World at the Beijing Auto Show with “Visible Technological Trust”
As the 2026 Beijing International Auto Show approaches, Great Wall Motor (GWM) will showcase six major product lineups, including Haval, Wey, Tank SUVs, ORA, GWM Pickup, and GWM Soul Motorcycles.
A series of key technologies will also be systematically unveiled for the first time, including the GWM ONE S Platform (Guiyuan S Platform), the Hi4 intelligent four-wheel-drive hybrid system, core powertrains, and the VLA intelligent driving large model.
Centered around the development philosophy of “returning to fundamentals and seeking truth from facts,” GWM is presenting its technological capabilities and long-term commitment to global markets in a more transparent and verifiable way.
Returning to the Essence of Mobility, Building Global Trust Through Verifiable Strength
One of the most anticipated highlights at this year’s show is GWM’s self-developed 4.0T V8 engine.
Amid the global transition in powertrain technology, large-displacement internal combustion engines still hold irreplaceable value in extreme off-road conditions, heavy-load scenarios, and harsh environments. This V8 not only responds to diverse global market demands but also reflects GWM’s continued investment and breakthroughs in high-end powertrains, marking an important step toward the premium segment.
The GWM ONE S Platform, as the flagship of the Guiyuan technology system, is another key highlight. “Guiyuan” emphasizes returning to the fundamental purpose of vehicles—as tools for mobility—focusing on safety, reliability, and scenario adaptability.
Built on a flexible architecture of “one vehicle, multiple powertrains; one vehicle, multiple categories; one vehicle, multiple forms; one vehicle for global markets,” the platform supports pure electric, plug-in hybrid, and fuel powertrains. It provides tailored solutions for different markets.
Furthermore, the ONE S Platform integrates AI capabilities, continuously learning user habits and real-world scenarios to dynamically optimize power distribution, energy management, and intelligent driving strategies—ensuring technology truly enhances the user experience.
Six Product Lineups Debut, Addressing Diverse Mobility Needs
At this year’s show, located in Hall B5, GWM will present six product series, each with a distinct positioning to create a diversified mobility ecosystem.
Among them, the first flagship model based on the ONE S Platform—the Wey V9X—will target the premium family market with a six-seat layout. It combines an “AI-native intelligent agent” with the Hi4 hybrid system, delivering an intelligent luxury experience rooted in Eastern design philosophy.
The all-new Tank 700, equipped with the Hi4-Z all-terrain power system, further enhances its performance boundaries in the premium off-road segment. The GWM Pickup Hi4-T, built on the Tank platform’s super hybrid architecture, advances pickups toward electrification and intelligence.
The ORA 5 sports edition focuses on personalization and multi-scenario adaptability, catering to the diverse lifestyles of younger users. Meanwhile, the GWM Soul Motorcycle lineup features the world’s only 2000cc horizontally opposed eight-cylinder engine, redefining high-end long-distance touring experiences.
Overall, GWM’s exhibition lineup is more focused on real user scenarios, improving efficiency and quality of mobility through key technological breakthroughs, and ultimately giving choice back to users.
Responding to Global Markets with Transparency, Long-Term Strategy in Europe
In terms of global expansion, GWM is building trust with international markets through a more open and transparent approach.
Ahead of the auto show, several European media outlets visited GWM for on-site tours. In its latest European strategy briefing, GWM clearly identified Europe as a core long-term market.
Technologically, GWM is committed to a diversified approach, using solutions like Hi4 hybrid systems and pure electric options to adapt to different energy infrastructures and user needs across European countries. The company is also accelerating the development of its local R&D system in Europe and collaborating with authoritative institutions on forward-looking regulatory research.
This year, GWM will introduce several strategic models into the European market, further demonstrating its commitment to long-term investment and sustainable growth.
Visiting European media have already toured GWM’s intelligent manufacturing facilities and test-driven the ORA 5 developed for the European market. Through a “visible and experiential” approach, GWM has demonstrated its capabilities in product quality and regulatory compliance.
Building Global Credibility Through Long-Term Value
Currently, GWM exports to more than 170 countries and regions worldwide, with over 16 million users.
From technology strategies to product planning, from manufacturing systems to global expansion, GWM is advancing its globalization efforts in a more pragmatic manner. Through its products, the “Guiyuan” philosophy is no longer just a concept, but has become tangible and verifiable value for users.
At this year’s Beijing Auto Show, GWM will engage in deeper dialogue with global users and media in a more open manner—focusing not on showcasing flashy technology or blindly following trends, but on what truly matters: meaningful innovation and authentic user experience, returning to the essence of the automobile.
